LG Twins' "six-week short-term foreign player" Coen Win finally came off the veil. He won his debut game and showed expectations for the Asian quarter next year.

Koen Win started Game 6 of the season against the SSG Landers of the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on the 4th and recorded five hits (one homer) with two strikeouts and three runs in six innings.먹튀검증

On the day, Koen Win threw 87 pitches, and the maximum speed was 147 kilometers. He pitched a mixture of fastballs (48), forkballs (28), and curves (11) to block the SSG batters.

Coen Winn wore the LG jersey as a substitute foreign player for Eliaser Hernandez.

Hernandez started against the Samsung Lions in Jamsil on the 15th and felt pain in his right thigh, and after a detailed examination, he was diagnosed with damage to the right femoral internal muscles and was away for at least six weeks.

As a result, LG moved quickly and brought in a temporary replacement. That player is Koen Win.

LG said, "I know well because we brought Coen Win as an invited player to the spring camp in Arizona, USA, and trained together for two weeks.

Coen Win played in 15 games in the Australian Baseball League (ABL) in the 2024-2025 season and played 38 ⅓ innings, recording 3 wins, 2 losses and a 2.35 ERA.

He then started in the Lotte 2nd division and Futures League on the 30th of last month and coordinated his sense of practice with one hit (one homer) and one run in two innings.
He finally made his KBO League debut on this day.

"I'm considering about 80 pitches," Yeom Kyung-yeop said before the game. "The overall pattern will be similar to (Im) Chan-gyu. I have similar pitches to Chan-gyu."

Even though it was the day before he started, Coen Win took notes while watching the game on the 3rd.

"He was writing hard. From No. 1 to No. 9 (batters), Chan-kyu made notes on how to mix the balls and analyze the opponent's batters," Yeom said with a smile. "So I said, 'Don't worry. Look at Chan-kyu's pattern. It's going similar to what you have, so if you go with that pattern, it will be easy to adapt."

In the first inning, Ryu threw a fly ball to Jihoon Choi and Jung Joon-jae, giving a good start to the game. However, with two outs, Choi gave a solo shot to the batter. His first hit was a homer. However, he threw a fly ball to end the inning without allowing any additional runs.

In the second inning, the batters scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, and were able to score runs thanks to robust scoring support. With nine balls, the batter finished the game with a fly ball, a ground ball and a ground ball.

Coen Win, who had three outs in the third inning, faced a crisis in the fourth inning. Due to double plays by Choi Jeong-sagu and Han Yu-sum, he is in danger of hitting the second and third bases with one out. However, he was helped by defense. Third baseman Moon Bo-kyung blocked McBroom's fastball with a diving catch, and threw it to the first base to force him out. With runners on the second and third bases with two outs, he guided Ko to a groundout to the third base, which resulted in a solid inning.

He continued his run in the fifth inning. He grounded out to second base Park Sung-han, hit out to shortstop Cho Hyung-woo, and hit out to shortstop Kim Soo-yoon.

Unfortunately, however, he lost another run in the sixth inning. With his batters leading 9-1 by scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, Koen Win was shaken by a double by leadoff hitter Jihoon Choi. He grounded out Jeong Joon-jae to the second base, but dedicated a timely hit to Choi with one out and runners on the third base. He hit a double to become a runner on the second and third bases with one out, and induced McBroom to ground out to shortstop in exchange for lost points and outcount. Had it not been for shortstop Oh Ji-hwan's diving catch, the number of lost points would have increased.

With two outs and a runner on the second base, he grounded out to third to end his career. He blocked 87 pitches, slightly more than the 80 pitches he had planned.

As LG won 12-4, Coen Win took the victory in his debut.
"I thought it could be the most important start of my career. I was nervous as well. I hoped that I would finish the game well and continue to the next game," Koen Win said after the game. "I had a lot of conversations with my teammates and friends back home to relieve the tension. That's why I was able to throw the ball calmly."

He also thanked his teammates for their solid defense. "You know, he showed the best defense in the league," said Coen Win. There were a lot of tricky pitches from the third and shortstop sides, but Moon Bo-kyung and Oh Ji-hwan played very good defense and helped me throw a little better. Catcher Park Dong-won showed good performance as a leader. He continued to calm me down when I was shaking and helped me to play in the right direction."

"Coen Win is an outsider. It is a short six-week part-time job. Therefore, the end is fixed. Elijah Hernandez, who is currently rehabilitating due to injury, has to make way for him when he returns.

However, he clearly has the motivation for the Asian quarter, which will be introduced next season.

"If I have a chance next year, I want to come back to the Korean stage. All of my LG teammates, coaching staff, front desk and fans are amazing. But for now, my priority is to focus on filling the vacancy well," he said.
